With the continual evolution of the vocational education and training (VET) sector — including reforms to qualification design, the Standards for Registered Training Organisations 2025, and the revised Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF), there has never been a more important time to stay informed and organised.
The Standards for Registered Training Organisations 2025 are now in effect for ASQA-regulated RTOs and will take effect for WA Training Accreditation Council (TAC)-regulated RTOs from 1 January 2026. These Standards are supported by the Compliance Standards and Credential Policy instruments, which together set out the expectations for quality training, assessment, governance, and workforce capability across the sector.
The new Standards strengthen the focus on student outcomes, trainer and assessor credentials, assessment quality, and self-assurance through systematic monitoring and continuous improvement.
Now is the time to ensure your systems, policies and practices are aligned with the new framework.
Get in touch to discuss what these changes mean for your RTO and how to plan a smooth, compliant transition.
